Non-resecting ulcer surgery by H Bauer
H. Bauer This birthday symposium, which took place at a somewhat late date - the actual birthday on April 30 was celebrated at the request of the jubilarian in the closest family circle - was to be organized as a working session in accordance with the will and attitude of our revered boss and was not to be introduced with laudations at his request. Nevertheless, dear Chief, on behalf of your Schiller, allow me to express a few brief thoughts which, based on the theme of this symposium on non-resecting ulcer surgery, deal with an essential part of your life's work. I believe that your entire attitude to surgery, as you have exemplified it to us as surgeons, teachers and researchers, can also be derived from this in a practical and exemplary way. The consistency of your actions and the unswerving progress on the path recognized as correct, qualities that you have repeatedly pointed out to us in long, often fatherly conversations as essential characteristics of the surgical researcher, can be well illustrated by a personal experience. As a medical assistant, it was tremendously impressive for me to witness when I attended my first surgeons' congress in 1968 how you were booed loudly by the auditorium when you ended your lecture by saying that today there should be no surgery in the surgery of duodenal ulcers without some form of vagotomy. Later, I never heard at any congress the rejection of a detailed statement by a speaker in such a sharp form.| ISBN 13 | 9783540101239 |

"I was paying $11.99/month for Kindle Unlimited but realized I was renting books, not owning them. Bought this PDF and it's mine forever. Never going back to Kindle."
"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math โ Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
