Spinal injuries by Caius Burri
On 14 to 16 February 1980, the 13th Trauma Surgery Workshop took place at Schlo Reisensburg. It was a tribute to the 70th birthday of Hans Willenegger, who has made outstanding contributions to the field of trauma and reconstructive surgery. This volume should therefore also be dedicated to him. In accordance with the spirit of the workshops at Reisensburg, 47 specialists from the fields of surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery dealt with the problems of pathophysiology, diagnosis, therapy, follow-up treatment and prognosis of spinal injuries. The negotiations have shown that in the German-speaking world - as in the whole world - only relatively few specialist clinics deal with the surgical treatment of traumatic spinal lesions and also penetrate them. Today, the domain of surgical procedures on the spine is still militia formations, poor posture and post-traumatic conditions. However, the contributions of individual clinics that have been surgically discontinued show that here, too, the active approach can lead to a friifunctional follow-up treatment and thus to fewer hospital stays, a reduction in the duration of the illness and functionally positive results. On the other hand, the surgical treatment of spinal injuries places high demands on the surgeon and his team, which is particularly true in the thoracic and lumbar area with differentiated access routes and increased possibilities of thoracic and abdominal complications. In order to achieve positive results, spinal surgery requires appropriate technical and instrumental prerequisites as well as careful training of the surgical team and well-considered tactics, as well as the use of an experienced anaesthesia group and the possibilities of intensive aftercare.| ISBN 13 | 9783540102021 |

"I was paying $11.99/month for Kindle Unlimited but realized I was renting books, not owning them. Bought this PDF and it's mine forever. Never going back to Kindle."
"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math — Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
