Dynamic Osteosynthesis by Rh Gahr
Professor Gerhard Kuntscher appeared before the German Society for Surgery in 1940 and presented his results of intramedullary nailing for the treatment of fractures to the general public for the first time. The overwhelming rejection of intramedullary nailing before the scientific forum was compensated for by its success during the war years, and the eloquent criticism of the epochal surgical technique was transformed into an unexpected worldwide recognition of the method. In the post-war years, the osteosynthesis technique of fractures was shaped by the dogma of rigid stable osteosynthesis. The Kuntscher technique was once again pushed into the background. The old argument against intramedullary nailing, the destruction of the intramedullary blood supply, was discussed by KΓΌntscher's opponents just as fiercely as the danger of X-rays during fluoroscopy. However, the pendulum of osteosynthesis technology returned to Kuntscher's biological operation. The clinical results showed high failure rates for rigid osteosynthesis and bone loss under the plate, but biological callus with the nail. Under this impression, intramedullary nailing was technically perfected. New techniques - developed by KΓ€smann, as well as by Klemm and Schellman, as well as by Grosse and Kempf - opened up treatment indications that were not accessible to the classic Kuntscher nail and led to a renaissance of intramedullary nailing and to the revival of the idea of natural dynamic bone fracture healing. The International Association for Dynamic Osteosynthesis (ALO. D.) recognized Kuntscher's core ideas earlier than others, expanded them further, and developed osteosynthesis processes in the sense of Kuntscher for long long bones.| ISBN 13 | 9783540589747 |

"I was paying $11.99/month for Kindle Unlimited but realized I was renting books, not owning them. Bought this PDF and it's mine forever. Never going back to Kindle."
"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math β Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
